When you use hangig to plan trips, we collect:

• Custom trip images (if uploaded)
• Travel dates and preferences

AI Suggestion Inputs

When you use AI-powered planning suggestions, we may collect prompt inputs such as:

• Destination, trip style, and activity preferences
• Age range information (for example, "18-24" or "25-34")
• Other non-sensitive context you provide to improve recommendations

Technical Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Crash reports and error logs
• Usage statistics

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the hangig app functionality
• Enable you to plan trips and collaborate with friends
• Generate age-appropriate activity suggestions using AI tools

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase services, which employ industry-standard security measures including:

• Secure authentication protocols

• Data center redundancy and backup systems

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

With Other Users

When you create or join a trip, your display name and profile photo are visible to other trip members. Trip activities and votes are also shared with all members of that trip.

With Service Providers

We use third-party services to help operate our app:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication, database, and storage services
• Google Gemini API: For AI-generated trip and activity suggestions based on your prompts, including age range when provided
• Unsplash: For destination imagery

We do not use age range prompts to identify you personally. We ask for age ranges (not exact birth dates) to improve relevance and safety of AI suggestions.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct your information within the app
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data using the "Delete Account" feature in Settings
• Withdrawal: Leave trips you've joined at any time

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your profile information is permanently deleted
• Trips you created are permanently deleted
• You are removed from trips created by others
• Your profile photo is deleted from storage

AI prompt inputs (including age range prompts) are retained only as needed to provide suggestions, maintain service quality, and meet legal obligations.

Children's Privacy

hangig is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
